Rehoming

Unfortunately, the dogs that are on this page are stray dogs from the area of Monmouthshire, their previous owners did not come forward to claim them. We will ensure that all stray dogs that come into our care are suitably rehomed to a safe and loving new home.

All dogs will have received a full health check by a vet and their first set of vaccinations will be administered, the dog will be microchipped, flea and worm treated before leaving the kennels.

Requirements for rehoming

The application form at the bottom of this page will need to be completed. All applications will be evaluated and should you be successful, a home visit will be carried out and a visit from the household members, including other pets within the household to meet the dog(s) you are interested in is a requirement.

Once all the requirements have been met, an adoption date will be set for you to collect your new family member.

Name: Rocky                    
Status: Available              Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Age: 6.5 years                  Gender: Male

  • Rocky is a lively adult, who would walk for miles if he had the chance!

  • He enjoys a cuddle and is known to give us kisses as well.

  • Rocky came to us with a few skin issues that we are working on, but this does not seem to affect his character or dampen his spirits.

  • We would suggest he goes to an adult only home and would need to be the only dog.

  • Rocky can become attached to one person and shows signs of possessive behaviour, so will need a confident and experienced owner to train him.

Name: Marley
Status: Available             Breed: Yorkshire Terrier
Age: Unknown                 Gender: Female
 

  • Marley is a happy, confident girl who loves lots of attention

  • She has plenty of energy so it would benefit her to a small garden and short walks everyday. 

  • Marley would be better suited as the only dog in the household as she can become reactive around other dogs.

  • Marley came into us with alot of Matts in her coat and not in the best condition, we have since got her groomed and she is now looking a lot better and is ready to have a loving home.

  • Marley will require some training as we think she hasn't had alot of training before arriving at the kennels.

Status: Available             Breed: English Bulldog
Age: Unknown                Gender: Male
 

  • Frank is a young and playful boy, full of energy and just wants love and attention.

  • Frank may be suitable to live with older children (from 14 years) due to his bouncy energy.

  • He would be best suited to experienced dog owners to ensure he has the training he will need to thrive.

  • Frank will need to be the only pet in the household.

  • He is currently receiving medication for his skin and cherry eye, which will eventually require surgery.

Status: Available             Breed: German Shepherd
Age: Unknown (Mid age approx) 

Gender: Male
 

  • Eli is a friendly boy with people and is very active.

  • He loves his walks and will need an active home.

  • He would benefit from being the only dog in a household, however depending on introductions, could be homed with another larger breed.

  • He does have some skin issues which are currently being treated and will most likely continue to need treatment.

  • Eli will need training for behaviour, toilet training and socialisation.

  • Unfortunately Eli cannot be rehomed with children.

  • He just wants loads of fuss and someone to love him.

  • Roxy is a quiet little lady. 

  • Loves fuss and attention

  • Would need to go to an active home.

  • Would need a medium to Large garden.

  • Roxy can be rehomed with other dogs, if they get along.

  • Roxy cannot be rehomed with Cats or Smaller Animals

  • Roxy is good on the lead but can be strong at times.

  • Roxy has no medical conditions.

  • She is a small German Shepherd.

  • We would consider someone who has experience with larger breeds.

  • Kano is such a lovely boy.
